From March 27 till April 11, a group of 19 girls
and boys, pupils of 3-rd and 4-th of the Collège de la Quintinie,
supervised by three chaperons, went to Albion ( Michigan) for a stay of
two weeks.
In the very warm reception added pleasure for our pupils to find their
correspondents whom they had accommodated at home to Noisy le Roi, one
year ago.
It was also opportunity, for each of them, to discover another culture,
other ways of life... Finally it was also the occasion to try to express
itself or to improve their English.
Numerous activities organized during the stay widely contributed to it:
-In group: visit of schools, universities - Soccer - Roller - visit of
a cattle farm of bisons...
-With their host families , several pupils went in Washington, Chicago,
Cleveland, even up to Florida...
Two strong points marked these two weeks:
-Reception in Albion's city hall, during which every pupil received hands
of the Mayor, Mister Wheaton, Freeman's " Certificate " of the
City.
-Handling of the Euro board, which have been realized by the Rond-Point,
to the Sistership Committee of Albion.
Strong, exceptional moments, big intensity. This stay, in an environment
marked with other cultural aspects and other ways of life, will stay,
for all these young people, rich in unforgettable recollections and will
mark the beginning of new bonds of friendship.
