The first tree planting was conducted in February 2001 and a commemorative plaque was unveiled in June 2001 with the participation of a large delegation of Albion in front of our college.
Because of urban development in this location, the completion of these plantations was delayed until today. The planting area is located outside the college near the plaque commemorating the donation.
The plants used are a mixture of trees and shrubs surrounding a surface of 275 m2 and two green benches complete this welcoming place. The plantations were carried out by young college students with the assistance services Town Hall Landscaping.
The City Council Noisy le Roi had decided unanimously on November 17 last, to give the place the name of "Albion Square" to thank the residents of Albion for their friendly and generous gesture to their twin town . What better day to choose for this ceremony to christen the Albion Square on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 2003!.
After the ceremony a reception took place in the college cafeteria, prepared by students of the Restoration who learn to cook and serve food. The audience included members of the City Council, representatives of educational organizations, students, representatives of associations and members of the Sistership Committee. (The sun came the next day).
